Princeton Noontime Hockey

2006 Season Ending Game

This year's season ending game was a reflection of many of the noon-time skates throughout the season. The Black team took the early lead on a shot from the point by Bill Dicola and Alisdair McKay. But that proved to be the end of Black's goal scoring. Orange then found its own ways to score in the second and third periods. Once Orange established a lead, the team worked hard to limit Black's chances. Despite several close calls with shots hitting the posts, Black was unable to produce any more goals. In the end, the Orange team proved victorious by a score of 5 - 2.

The Orange effort was assisted by power play goals, solid goal tending by Ed Lewis, and a hat trick by Curt Emmich. Karsten Hilpert also scored for Orange along with Peter Krivcov, this season's Most Improved Player, who scored an empty net goal for Orange with only seconds remaining in the game.

Curt Emmich and Ed Lewis were awarded co-MVP awards for the game.
