- On March 1, 2005, the NCTTA board passed a "wild card" motion, allowing the highest ranked non-qualifying collegiate team to enter the 2005 NCTTA Championships. The Princeton University Table Tennis Club objects to the timing and the manner in which this decision was made. We think that it is bad policy to change the rules for the qualification to nationals at the end of the season, after most meets have been played. We are also convinced that using the "Top 25" list from November 21 to determine team rankings was arbitrary and unjustified. The whole decision seems to have been made with the purpose of allowing one particular school to attend the nationals, without setting clear and transparent criteria, and without informing NCTTA member schools. We hope that the representatives of the NCTTA will be more thoughtful when making such important decisions in the future.
- NCTTA results from both the fall and spring semester meets are posted at www.nctta.org, with all known mistakes fixed.
