The Friends of Princeton Wrestling celebrated 100 years of varsity
wrestling on campus with a banquet at Dillon Gymnasium Feb. 12,
honoring the program’s past, present, and future. The University
announced in January that the Friends had reached its goal of raising
more than $3 million to endow the program. Speakers at the banquet
included former astronaut Gregory Linteris ’79, Congressman
Jim Leach ’64, Director of Athletics Gary Walters ’67,
NCAA champion Bradley Glass ’53, wrestling All-American John
Orr ’85, and former University legal counsel Stuart Carothers
’45.
