A letter from a reader: Clarifying Maine geography

Interesting discussion on "Science and the SAT" (letter by Howard Wainer *68, Nov. 7). Controversial topic, but Wainer makes some good points. However, he is in error on his Maine geography. Bowdoin College, in Brunswick, is not a "cross-town" rival to Colby College in Waterville, 50 miles away. Rivals, yes; intra-state, yes; cross-town, no.
