Some weeks there are two lectures, some weeks one. Check the syllabus. (The non-lecture hour will be devoted to writing, revision, conferences, and work on The Electric Shakespeare.) Attendance at precepts and lectures is required, and participation counts. Read each play before the first lecture, and read it again during the following weeks. Come to all precepts prepared to discuss the plays, lectures, and your writing assignments. Your preceptor will respond to your writing, grade it, ask for revisions when appropriate, and confer with you about your progress. Essays are due at the appointed time; there are no extensions without a Dean's excuse; late submissions will be penalized in the grading. There is a final exam.
Read the Essay and Workbook assignment on The Electric Shakespeare at the beginning of the week's work.. Check the course Newsgroup frequently and stay involved: its value and quality are up to you.
