Government coverup?
Aqui vienen los gringos.
This report is from Scott Coralles, who just received a call from
Jorge Martin (a well known UFO investigator) on Sunday telling him that another
well known someone, who will go unmentioned for certain reasons, is
possibly trying to confuse the issue regarding the Chupacabras.

SOMETHING STRANGE IS HAPPENING IN PUERTO RICO
Samizdat Special Report
On January 28th,1996 9:00 a.m. DST, Samzidat was notified of a
particularly strange situation taking place in Puerto Rico one
which does not involve The Chupacabras nor UFOs directly.Sources on the
island reported that a wellknown and hitherto
prestigious UFO/mutilations/crop circles investigator has been on
the island for the past few days, furtively interviewing witnesses
to Chupacabras sightings, and trying to undo research initiatives
conducted by other investigators. In some instances, the
investigator claims to be acting alone, and in others, claims to be
part of an HBO effort at preparing a documentary on the subject. Two of the
people visited by this Stateside investigator phoned
Samzidat's source in Puerto Rico to report that the investigator
had advised them of "preconceived notions about the true nature of
the Chupacabras", which she espoused. The researcher allegedly told
the pair that the elusive predator was some kind of simian creature
linked to the Laguna Cartagena UFO sightings. The researcher
elaborated upon this belief, claiming that "a tunnel" links Laguna
Cartagena (on SW Puerto Rico) to El Yunque (on NE Puerto Rico). For the
record, Samzidat has been advised that not one Chupacabras
sighting has taken place near the vicinity of Laguna Cartagena, a
body of water made famous in the early 1990's due to an intense UFO
wave. Other witnesses claim the Stateside researcher tried to make them
say that what they'd seen was "a giant toad" (!!!).What is the nature of
this game? Has this prestigious researcher
been recruited by Stateside UFO research organizations or
governmental agencies to invalidate the serious nature of the
investigations being conducted on the island? If the persons who
claimed to have been interviewed are telling the truth, this person
promised Jose "Chemo" Soto (mayor of Canóvanas) sophisticated
equipment in exchange for being the sole recipient of any
information on the Chupacabras. The mayor, whose request for men
and material to find the mystery creature was turned down by Pedro
Toledo, P.R.'s police commissioner, must have considered this offer
a godsend and was only too happy to part of its committment to provide American readers with seriousinformation on UFO and paranormal activity in Latin America and
Spain, Samzidat deplores the actions of any organization or
individual presuming to "muddy the waters" for other researchers in
such a critical phenomenon as the Chupacabras mystery.
Scott is also the editor of Samzidat, a newsletter of UFOs and the
paranormal, a quarterly independent publication devoted to the research of
UFOand paranormal phenom. as it occurs in the Spanish- speaking countries of
theAmericas and Spain.
