FACULTY AWARD: Deaton recognized for contributions to understanding of Indian region

Maharana of the Mewar Charitable Foundation of Udaipur, India, has awarded the 2017 Colonel James Tod Award to Angus Deaton(Link is external), the Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of International Affairs(Link is external), Emeritus, professor of economics(Link is external) and international affairs, emeritus, and senior scholar. Deaton received the award for his contributions to the understanding of Udaipur, a region in western India where he conducted research to understand developments in economics of health and health care among adults and children.

Deaton, Hemon named ‘Great Immigrants’ for contributions to American society .

Princeton faculty members Sir Angus Deaton and Aleksandar Hemon have been honored as “Great Immigrants” by the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

FACULTY AWARD: Deaton to receive BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award .

Angus Deaton, Princeton’s Dwight D. Eisenhower Professor of International Affairs and professor of economics and international affairs in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, has been selected to receive the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in the category of Economics, Finance and Management.

Angus Deaton receives Nobel Prize medal, bringing Princeton tally to 40 .

Princeton University professor Angus Deaton received his medal for the 2015 Nobel Prize in economic sciences Dec. 10 in Stockholm. Princeton has a storied history with the Nobel Prize, with 40 individuals affiliated with the University receiving prizes over the past century.
